Leaf Painting
When I saw this post over at My Family My Forever this morning, I knew we had to do it. It is adorable! And so simple, and my kids loved it! It was inspired by the book Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert. I just discovered this blog this morning and am excited to look around some more - I am LOVING all of her ideas!
I didn't think the little bunny was quite ready for the painting part, as she is still just figuring out that she has hands and how to use them, but she enjoyed exploring a couple of leaves that I put in front of her.

I grabbed some leaves from outside this morning and put them on the counter to dry. If it would quit raining around here I would love to go on a leaf hunt with my kids, but I swear it has been raining ALL FALL!
The children arranged their leaves on a piece of brown paper. I put a little glue dot thingy under them to kind of hold them in place a little.
I put some red and yellow paint on a paper plate along with two little sponges and they went to work.

(I promise my kids wash their hands! He has a big smudge from a temporary tattoo that hasn't gone away yet!)
When they were done, we simply peeled the leaves off and had a beautiful piece of art.
